monique barnum - Owner and Stager
Monique brings more than 30 years of decorating and design experience to every project. As an expert in home staging, she understands the unique needs of homeowners and sellers and knows how to showcase a property's best features. With a keen eye for current market trends and staging styles, Monique helps homes stand out, sell quickly, and achieve top dollar.
When she's not transforming homes, Monique enjoys traveling with her husband and their two daughters. She also loves preserving special memories through scrapbooking.
OLIVIA PETRELLA - Staging Associate
Olivia is Monique’s right hand girl! She has been a lover of all things design related since a very young age. Olivia was born and raised in Melrose, MA and now resides in Salem, MA. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2016 and then went on to become an event planner for 5+ years at a prestigious company in Boston. Olivia’s event planning background helps our team here at Serenity Designs with all things logistic related. Olivia also manages the Serenity Designs social media pages and helps Monique with all marketing related tasks. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and exploring her photography skills.
michelle murray - assistant home stager
Michelle has had a passion for design from a very young age. From designing sets for school productions to creating a 9/11 memorial that stands in Wilmington, Massachusetts, she has always found ways to express her creativity through thoughtful, meaningful design.
Michelle earned her degree in Interior Architecture from Endicott College and went on to work at several prestigious architecture and design firms throughout the Boston area before bringing her talents to the world of home staging. Her design expertise, creative vision, and attention to detail help transform homes into beautiful, inviting spaces that appeal to today's buyers.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys taking trips to New York City to see Broadway shows and exploring local community theater throughout New England. When she's not at the theater, you'll often find her in the dance studio, expressing her creativity through movement.
HEATHER doyle - assistant home stager
Heather is a new member of the Serenity Designs team and is thrilled to be part of the team! She graduated from Hamilton College in 2025 with degrees in Environmental Studies and Art History, bringing a unique combination of creativity, curiosity, and appreciation for beautiful spaces to her role.
While she is just beginning her journey in the home staging industry, Heather is excited to learn the ropes, grow her design skills, and contribute to creating spaces that buyers can truly fall in love with. She looks forward to gaining hands-on experience and developing her passion for design alongside the talented Serenity Designs team.
Outside of work, Heather enjoys exploring museums and galleries, finding a cozy spot to dive into a good book, and spending time outdoors.
